Green harvested walnuts are simply preserved in a syrup made from sugar and water and finely seasoned with cloves, cinnamon and cardamom. The nuts change their colour when they are soaked and the slightly tart walnut aroma is pleasantly balanced with the sweetness. These fermented walnuts are delicious with game, meat and cheese.
