Vantastic Foods Seitan Fix is a wheat gluten powder for preparing homemade seitan, a versatile vegan alternative to meat. Simply mix with water and knead to create a firm dough, ready to shape into slices, strips or cubes for stir-fries, stews and plant-based steaks.
Each 750g pack produces approximately 1.5kg of uncooked seitan when mixed with water.
Use
Mix with water, knead well and cut into the desired shape. Cook in boiling, well-seasoned stock for 20 minutes, then use in your chosen recipe.
Technical
Ingredients: Wheat gluten.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from heat. Reseal tightly after use.
