Verjus takes its name from the French 'Green juice', as it is pressed from unripe grapes. It was a widely used ingredient in Medieval European cooking and has become increasingly popular in professional kitchens in the last few years. Verjus is much less acidic than vinegar and has a sweet-tart taste and is often used to add flavour to sauces or salad dressings. Our Verjus is made with green grapes from the Périgord region in France and does not contains any preservatives.
