Meracinque is an Italian producer specialising exclusively in Carnaroli Classico rice, based in Roncoferraro, Mantua, between Veneto and Lombardy, one of Italy’s most historic rice-growing regions. Founded by five sisters with a shared passion for agriculture and sustainability, the company combines family heritage with modern farming methods focused on quality, traceability and respect for the land.
Meracinque uses only 100% certified Carnaroli seeds, with no sub-varieties, producing authentic “Carnaroli Classico”, considered the king of Italian rice. Their rice is valued by chefs for its cooking resistance, creamy texture and ability to absorb flavour while maintaining grain integrity throughout cooking.
The mineral-rich clay soil of the region and the pure waters connected to Lake Garda create ideal conditions for premium rice cultivation. Through regenerative farming, precision agriculture, one-year ageing and low-temperature drying, Meracinque preserves grain quality while supporting long-term environmental sustainability.
