Established in 2012 by Robert Bullock, a pastry chef and former manager of Aer Lingus Catering, Le Patissier has become the food service standard in Ireland for quality patisserie, desserts, and tart shells. Multiple Blas na hÉireann food awards vouch for the quality of Le Patissier’s products and Dunnes Stores feature their premium desserts in the Simply Better range.

During the COVID pandemic, in response to customer demand for locally sourced goods Le Patissier spent over two years refining their tart shells to offer ready-to-fill options for food service. The tart shells are made with Irish butter and eggs, creating a crisp shortbread texture and a distinct flavour. All packaging is sourced from Irish manufacturers, underscoring their commitment to local business.

Le Patissier’s tart shells are available in two convenient sizes: individual (78mm x 21mm) and mini (48mm x 21mm), in both plain and chocolate versions, coated with cocoa butter. They serve as excellent vessels for individual desserts or canape bites. Distribution is managed exclusively through Redmond Fine Foods.

Looking ahead, Le Patissier plans to broaden its offering by introducing a plant-based, free-from tart shell. This addition reflects the company’s proactive approach in catering to evolving dietary preferences and market demands.
