This fennel grows wild near the coastal regions of California. The typical fragrant flowers are picked and dried by hand. Careful selection enables the intensely aromatic flowers and pollen to be obtained. As an ingredient for spice mixes and marinades, or to refine fish, shell or crustacean, poultry or lamb dishes.
